You know the old saying about not judging a book by its cover? I choose to read this book because of its title. I just liked it. It wasn't what I expected. It was a story of a grieving kid who goes to a mythical land and has to use his courage to get back home, coming across re-written fairy tales in the process. It's a book that appeals both to young readers and adults, because while its a book about fantasy lands and imagination, it also has really grown-up themes that a young reader wouldn't understand. And the ending wasn't really what I expected -- I love it when that happens. All in all a very good read.
